It’s not yet December but I already started hunting for presents. Each year I try to have everything for everybody before it gets to crazy in the shops. I have already found something for my mum and dad but still need a ton of other gifts. It’s hard to find something really unique in the usual shops, don’t you think? It’s where everybody looks for presents and in the end, we all buy the same stuff. That’s why I love fairs! That’s where you find extraordinary products and meet the creative minds, that made them.
A lovely fair and the perfect place to find the perfect Christmas present is the fair Schöne Bescherung at Römerkastell. It is open on December 3 and 4 and an insider tip amongst sophisticated (Christmas) shoppers.
This years motto is “romance, playfulness and classy kitsch”. More than 100 manufacturers have jewellery, home decor, fashion accessories and culinary treats on display. One of them is Sardine Shop. The online shop helps young creative Portugueses to present and sell their products on the German market. Portugal is so full of energy at the moment, it’s nearly vibrating. And young creative people are supporting this development with their fresh ideas.

You can see this especially when it comes to design: traditional fabrication techniques and regional resources are mixed with new influences and create something unique Portuguese. Together with the young creative artisans and designers Sardine Shop wants to promote this social development and create a platform for their special products here in Germany.

This year, you can meet Sardine Shop at the fair Schöne Bescherung for the first time. Touch and feel their marble bowls and acacia chopping boards and smell the intriguing scents of their herbal salt and blossom teas.
