Luckily Stuttgart is blessed when it comes to mineral water. Did you know that we have not less than 19 mineral springs?! And they feed quite a few spas in Stuttgart and the area around. Let me introduce to my top 5 mineral baths and spas in Stuttgart. <em>[This article contains non-paid advertisement based on personal recommendations]</em></p>
<p><span id="more-8842"></span></p>
<h2>My top 5 spas in Stuttgart</h2>
<p><strong>5. MineralBad Cannstatt</strong></p>
<p>MineralBad Cannstatt feed the pools, the Russian-Roman steam bath and the mineral sauna. There are two indoor and outdoor pools with water temperatures around 30 °C. One outdoor pool is filled with lightly bubbly water around 18 °C and there are whirlpools with temperatures around 36 °C. Next to the pools, MineralBad Cannstatt offers four saunas and the steam bath in the 1.200 m² wellness area. They even have a meditation sauna! If you&#8217;re looking for deep relaxation, MineralBad Cannstatt is your spa in Stuttgart!</p>
<p><strong>4. Schwabenquellen</strong></p>
<p>Visiting the Schwabenquellen in Stuttgart-Möhringen is like stepping into a dream world. On 7.000 m² you will be able to visit 18 different countries and cultures: For example, there is a Caribbean lagoon, an Icelandic Geysir-pool ad a jungle whirlpool, a Canadian blockhouse sauna, a Balinese herb sauna,  a Tibetan meditation sauna,  an Oriental steam bath, a Roman laconium, &#8230; OK, I stop here. But believe me, there&#8217;s even more. If you need a break, several relaxation areas await you: the Africa lodge, the Maya temple, the Japanese lodge and so on. And if this is not enough, you can also choose from a great variety of massages and cosmetic treatments. But there&#8217;s one thing you need to know about Schwabenquellen: This is a naturist spa, so no bathing suits are allowed, you need to be naked. But don&#8217;t worry if naturism is not your thing: every first Saturday of the month is what they call &#8220;Textile Day&#8221; and you&#8217;re allowed to wear a bathing suit or bikini. If you&#8217;re looking for a getaway from reality, Schwabenquellen is your spa in Stuttgart!</p>
<p><strong>3. DAS Leuze Mineralbad</strong></p>
<p>The mineral bath DAS Leuze is a combination of a mineral bath, public pool and outdoor pool. It is very family friendly as there is an area designated to small children: The &#8220;Kinderland LEUZE&#8221; covers an area of some 600 square metres and includes a paddling pool for the youngest visitors and a non-swimmers&#8217; pool with a depth of 40 to 80 cm for older children. The eight swimming and bathing pools and over 1700 square metres of water area in the in- and outdoor mineral pools are fed by three mineral springs. On an area of 3300 m² you can enjoy 14 different saunas. The highlight is the Panorama sauna where you get a first-class view of view of the Neckar and the surrounding vineyards while sweating. If you&#8217;re looking for a family friendly wellness day, DAS Leuze is your spa in Stuttgart!</p>
<p><strong>2. Mineral-Bad Berg</strong></p>
<p>Even though this bath is closed for renovation at the moment, I have to put it on this list as it is one of my favorite spas in Stuttgart: Mineral-Bad Berg is a very special gem and actually the oldest public pool in Stuttgart. It&#8217;s history goes back to 1856 and it used to be the biggest pool fed by mineral water in Germany for ages. Five mineral springs feed the four indoor and the big outdoor pools. Because of the huge amount of fresh water chlorination or upheaval is unnecessary. Locals love this bath because of its retro looks and charm. There is a general renovation going on at the moment and it won&#8217;t be open for the public before 2019. But make sure to put it on your bucket-list once it opens again.</p>
<p><strong>1. Mineraltherme Böblingen</strong></p>
<p>My favorite spa is actually not located in Stuttgart but just outside the city boarders, in Böblingen. I&#8217;ve written about Mineraltherme Böblingen twice already so if you want to know why I love this place so much, check out my articles <a href="https://living-in-stuttgart.com/2014/03/13/my-favorite-mineral-bath/" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer"><strong><em>from 2014</em></strong></a> and <a href="https://living-in-stuttgart.com/2015/04/15/celebrating-eastern-in-warm-water/" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer"><em><strong>from 2015</strong></em></a>!</p>

Well, Baiersbronn is a little village in the Black Forrest (<em>Schwarzwald</em>), about 1.5 hours away from Stuttgart by car. And there lies the most awesome spa and wellness hotel in the whole wide world:<em>&#160;Romantik&#160;Hotel Sackmann. </em></p>

<p><span id="more-5135"></span></p>
<p>I&#8217;ve been there lately with my mom. My dad and I invited her to a wellness weekend and I accompanied her &#8211; best decision ever! ;-)!</p>
<p>We have booked a &#8220;Komfort Room&#8221; for two people for the weekend. It came with a very comfy double bed, a sitting area and &#8211; of course &#8211; a very clean bathroom.</p>
<p><a href="https://living-in-stuttgart.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/03/hotel_sackmann_room.jpg"><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" class="alignnone size-full wp-image-1120" src="https://living-in-stuttgart.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/03/hotel_sackmann_room.jpg" alt="Komfort Room in Hotel Sackmann" width="500" height="375" srcset="https://living-in-stuttgart.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/03/hotel_sackmann_room.jpg 700w, https://living-in-stuttgart.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/03/hotel_sackmann_room-300x225.jpg 300w, https://living-in-stuttgart.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/03/hotel_sackmann_room-619x464.jpg 619w" sizes="auto, (max-width: 500px) 100vw, 500px" /></a></p>
<p><a href="https://living-in-stuttgart.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/03/hotel_sackmann_room_sitting_area.jpg"><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" class="alignnone size-full wp-image-1121" src="https://living-in-stuttgart.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/03/hotel_sackmann_room_sitting_area.jpg" alt="The sitting area in our Komfort Room in Hotel Sackmann" width="500" height="375" srcset="https://living-in-stuttgart.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/03/hotel_sackmann_room_sitting_area.jpg 700w, https://living-in-stuttgart.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/03/hotel_sackmann_room_sitting_area-300x225.jpg 300w, https://living-in-stuttgart.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/03/hotel_sackmann_room_sitting_area-619x464.jpg 619w" sizes="auto, (max-width: 500px) 100vw, 500px" /></a></p>
<p>The only &#8211; and truly the only thing &#8211; I didn&#8217;t like, was the glass door to the bathroom&#8230;</p>
<p><a href="https://living-in-stuttgart.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/03/hotel_sackmann_toilet.jpg"><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" class="alignnone size-full wp-image-1122" src="https://living-in-stuttgart.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/03/hotel_sackmann_toilet.jpg" alt="See-through bathroom door in Hotel Sackmann" width="500" height="375" srcset="https://living-in-stuttgart.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/03/hotel_sackmann_toilet.jpg 700w, https://living-in-stuttgart.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/03/hotel_sackmann_toilet-300x225.jpg 300w, https://living-in-stuttgart.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/03/hotel_sackmann_toilet-619x464.jpg 619w" sizes="auto, (max-width: 500px) 100vw, 500px" /></a></p>
<p>Seriously &#8211; a see-through glass door to the bathroom??? Well, you better like the person you share the room with a lot and are very close to her. Definitely nothing for the first romantic weekend-trip with the new lover. You won&#8217;t have any secrets after this stay, that&#8217;s for shure. And yes, this is the toilet right behind me &#8211; right in front&nbsp;of the door&#8230; 😀</p>
<p>We arrived late on friday night so we had no time to check out the spa area but went down to the restaurant for dinner straight away.</p>
<p><em>The hotel offers three restaurants: The &#8220;Silberberg&#8221; for hotel guests, the &#8220;Anitastube</em>&#8221; where they serve traditional meals from the Black Forrest and the gourmet restaurant &#8220;<em>Schlossberg</em>&#8221; where chef Jörg&nbsp;Sackmann&nbsp;himself creates the menu. It has one Michelin-Star and offers a truly&nbsp;amazing menu. However, my mum and I went for the &#8220;<em>Silberberg</em>&#8221; and didn&#8217;t regret it.</p>
<p><a href="https://living-in-stuttgart.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/03/sackmann_dinner1_restaurant.jpg"><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" class="alignnone size-full wp-image-1127" src="https://living-in-stuttgart.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/03/sackmann_dinner1_restaurant.jpg" alt="Restaurant Silberberg in Hotel Sackmann" width="500" height="375" srcset="https://living-in-stuttgart.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/03/sackmann_dinner1_restaurant.jpg 700w, https://living-in-stuttgart.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/03/sackmann_dinner1_restaurant-300x225.jpg 300w, https://living-in-stuttgart.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/03/sackmann_dinner1_restaurant-619x464.jpg 619w" sizes="auto, (max-width: 500px) 100vw, 500px" /></a></p>
<p>If you want to dine in the <em>Schlossberg</em>, make sure to make a reservation before you arrive, otherwise you might not get a table.</p>
<p>So here comes our dinner: We got a little starter, then had a salad (the dressing was a dream!), then both meat and after this, we were too full for dessert.</p>
<p><a href="https://living-in-stuttgart.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/03/sackmann_dinner1_starter.jpg"><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" class="alignnone size-full wp-image-1129" src="https://living-in-stuttgart.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/03/sackmann_dinner1_starter.jpg" alt="Starter" width="500" height="375" srcset="https://living-in-stuttgart.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/03/sackmann_dinner1_starter.jpg 700w, https://living-in-stuttgart.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/03/sackmann_dinner1_starter-300x225.jpg 300w, https://living-in-stuttgart.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/03/sackmann_dinner1_starter-619x464.jpg 619w" sizes="auto, (max-width: 500px) 100vw, 500px" /></a></p>
<p><a href="https://living-in-stuttgart.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/03/sackmann_dinner1_salad.jpg"><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" class="alignnone size-full wp-image-1128" src="https://living-in-stuttgart.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/03/sackmann_dinner1_salad.jpg" alt="Salad" width="500" height="375" srcset="https://living-in-stuttgart.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/03/sackmann_dinner1_salad.jpg 700w, https://living-in-stuttgart.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/03/sackmann_dinner1_salad-300x225.jpg 300w, https://living-in-stuttgart.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/03/sackmann_dinner1_salad-619x464.jpg 619w" sizes="auto, (max-width: 500px) 100vw, 500px" /></a></p>
<p><a href="https://living-in-stuttgart.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/03/sackmann_dinner1_main.jpg"><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" class="alignnone size-full wp-image-1125" src="https://living-in-stuttgart.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/03/sackmann_dinner1_main.jpg" alt="My main course" width="500" height="375" srcset="https://living-in-stuttgart.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/03/sackmann_dinner1_main.jpg 700w, https://living-in-stuttgart.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/03/sackmann_dinner1_main-300x225.jpg 300w, https://living-in-stuttgart.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/03/sackmann_dinner1_main-619x464.jpg 619w" sizes="auto, (max-width: 500px) 100vw, 500px" /></a></p>
<p><a href="https://living-in-stuttgart.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/03/sackmann_dinner1_main2.jpg"><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" class="alignnone size-full wp-image-1126" src="https://living-in-stuttgart.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/03/sackmann_dinner1_main2.jpg" alt="My mum's main course" width="500" height="375" srcset="https://living-in-stuttgart.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/03/sackmann_dinner1_main2.jpg 700w, https://living-in-stuttgart.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/03/sackmann_dinner1_main2-300x225.jpg 300w, https://living-in-stuttgart.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/03/sackmann_dinner1_main2-619x464.jpg 619w" sizes="auto, (max-width: 500px) 100vw, 500px" /></a></p>
<p>As you can imagine, we slept like babies after this dinner 🙂</p>
<p>We began the next day by participating in the aqua fitness. It takes place between 8 and 8:30 am and is free for all hotel guests. This was also the first time we set eyes on the spa area &#8211; and fell in love with it (sorry dad, it&#8217;s true, mum&#8217;s in love&#8230; ;-))</p>
<p><a href="https://living-in-stuttgart.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/03/sackmann_spa1.jpg"><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" class="alignnone size-full wp-image-1134" src="https://living-in-stuttgart.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/03/sackmann_spa1.jpg" alt="Spa area at Hotel Sackmann" width="500" height="375" srcset="https://living-in-stuttgart.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/03/sackmann_spa1.jpg 700w, https://living-in-stuttgart.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/03/sackmann_spa1-300x225.jpg 300w, https://living-in-stuttgart.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/03/sackmann_spa1-619x464.jpg 619w" sizes="auto, (max-width: 500px) 100vw, 500px" /></a></p>
<p>After this little morning sport programme, we were very hungry. We went back to our room got dressed and went down to have breakfast. We got the same table as the night before and were eager to find out what the breakfast buffet has to offer. And we were very happy with what we found: Sackmann offers a huge selection of cheese, sausages, fresh fruit, jam, bread, fish (!) &#8211; and you could even have a glass of sparkling wine for breakfast.</p>

<p>Round No. 1:</p>
<p><a href="https://living-in-stuttgart.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/03/sackmann_breakfast1.jpg"><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" class="alignnone size-full wp-image-1141" src="https://living-in-stuttgart.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/03/sackmann_breakfast1.jpg" alt="Something salty to begin with..." width="500" height="375" srcset="https://living-in-stuttgart.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/03/sackmann_breakfast1.jpg 700w, https://living-in-stuttgart.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/03/sackmann_breakfast1-300x225.jpg 300w, https://living-in-stuttgart.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/03/sackmann_breakfast1-619x464.jpg 619w" sizes="auto, (max-width: 500px) 100vw, 500px" /></a></p>
<p>And round No. 2:</p>
<p><a href="https://living-in-stuttgart.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/03/sackmann_breakfast2.jpg"><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" class="alignnone size-full wp-image-1142" src="https://living-in-stuttgart.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/03/sackmann_breakfast2.jpg" alt="...and somthing fruity to finish with." width="500" height="375" srcset="https://living-in-stuttgart.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/03/sackmann_breakfast2.jpg 700w, https://living-in-stuttgart.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/03/sackmann_breakfast2-300x225.jpg 300w, https://living-in-stuttgart.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/03/sackmann_breakfast2-619x464.jpg 619w" sizes="auto, (max-width: 500px) 100vw, 500px" /></a></p>
<p>For me, it&#8217;s always a sign&nbsp;of quality when a hotel offers fresh fruit. And Sackman had a lot of it&#8230;! 🙂</p>
<p>Next to the buffet, you could also choose different items from a menu, like eggs, cooked the way you like it, or some sweet dishes.</p>
<p>After breakfast, we had not much time to loose&nbsp;as we both had appointments for massages. I had chosen&nbsp;the Abhyanga&nbsp;Ayurveda Massage and my mum went for the Samvahana&nbsp;Ayurveda Massage. Both took 1.5 hours and it was my turn first. Obviously, I could not take any pictures while enjoying the massage, so you just have to believe me that it was AWESOME!! Soooo&nbsp;relaxing&nbsp;and wonderful! Same was apparently&nbsp;true for my mother&#8217;s massage, at least that&#8217;s what she told me when she came back 🙂</p>
<p>We spend the rest of the day in the spa, trying the different saunas and relaxation areas.</p>

<p><a href="https://living-in-stuttgart.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/03/sackmann_spa4.jpg"><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" class="alignnone size-full wp-image-1137" src="https://living-in-stuttgart.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/03/sackmann_spa4.jpg" alt="Relaxing area #2" width="500" height="375" srcset="https://living-in-stuttgart.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/03/sackmann_spa4.jpg 700w, https://living-in-stuttgart.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/03/sackmann_spa4-300x225.jpg 300w, https://living-in-stuttgart.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/03/sackmann_spa4-619x464.jpg 619w" sizes="auto, (max-width: 500px) 100vw, 500px" /></a></p>

<p>Man, was I relaxed after this day!! 🙂</p>
<p>You want to know what I liked most? Definitely the salt sauna&#8230; and the water beds&#8230; and the jacuzzi&#8230; and the steam bath&#8230; and.. oh well, it was all so great&#8230; 😀</p>
<p>Another nice fact about the spa: They offer tea, fresh water, dried fruit, apples and &#8211; in the afternoon &#8211; little cakes for everybody.</p>
<p><a href="https://living-in-stuttgart.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/03/sackmann_spa6.jpg"><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" class="alignnone size-full wp-image-1150" src="https://living-in-stuttgart.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/03/sackmann_spa6.jpg" alt="Tea and snacks in the spa of hotel Sackmann" width="500" height="312" srcset="https://living-in-stuttgart.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/03/sackmann_spa6.jpg 700w, https://living-in-stuttgart.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/03/sackmann_spa6-300x187.jpg 300w, https://living-in-stuttgart.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/03/sackmann_spa6-619x386.jpg 619w" sizes="auto, (max-width: 500px) 100vw, 500px" /></a></p>
<p>What can be the perfect end to such a perfect day if not a perfect dinner? Today, my mum and I went both for fish (were we in the water for too long?? ;-)) So here&#8217;s what we got:</p>
<p><a href="https://living-in-stuttgart.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/03/sackmann_dinner2_main2.jpg"><img decoding="async" class="alignnone size-full wp-image-1155" src="https://living-in-stuttgart.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/03/sackmann_dinner2_main2.jpg" alt="My mum's choice" width="500" srcset="https://living-in-stuttgart.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/03/sackmann_dinner2_main2.jpg 700w, https://living-in-stuttgart.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/03/sackmann_dinner2_main2-300x225.jpg 300w, https://living-in-stuttgart.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/03/sackmann_dinner2_main2-619x464.jpg 619w" sizes="(max-width: 700px) 100vw, 700px" /></a></p>
<p><a href="https://living-in-stuttgart.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/03/sackmann_dinner2_main1.jpg"><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" class="alignnone size-full wp-image-1154" src="https://living-in-stuttgart.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/03/sackmann_dinner2_main1.jpg" alt="My dinner" width="500" height="317" srcset="https://living-in-stuttgart.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/03/sackmann_dinner2_main1.jpg 700w, https://living-in-stuttgart.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/03/sackmann_dinner2_main1-300x190.jpg 300w, https://living-in-stuttgart.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/03/sackmann_dinner2_main1-619x393.jpg 619w" sizes="auto, (max-width: 500px) 100vw, 500px" /></a></p>
<p><a href="https://living-in-stuttgart.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/03/sackmann_dessert.jpg"><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" class="alignnone size-full wp-image-1153" src="https://living-in-stuttgart.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/03/sackmann_dessert.jpg" alt="Dessert" width="500" height="295" srcset="https://living-in-stuttgart.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/03/sackmann_dessert.jpg 700w, https://living-in-stuttgart.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/03/sackmann_dessert-300x177.jpg 300w, https://living-in-stuttgart.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/03/sackmann_dessert-619x365.jpg 619w" sizes="auto, (max-width: 500px) 100vw, 500px" /></a></p>
<p>We started our next day again in the pool, doing aqua fitness, and enjoyed another great breakfast afterwards. We&#8217;ve spent a wonderful weekend in Baiersbronn, in an extraordinary hotel. We only hated that we had to leave again&#8230; 😉</p>
