As many of you liked my last post about online tastings offered by Tastingerlebnis.de I thought I make this a new series: Tings to do during the lockdown! So today I would like to point out the online events organized by “Stuttgart Expats”.

Stuttgart Expats is a facebook community of predominantly English speaking expats living in Stuttgart. The group was started in 2007 and is the largest event group in the city.

Before corona each weekend the members were offered a wide variety of events – from cooking classes to karting to celebrating Halloween, Fasching and Volksfest together. But of course, due to the pandemic, those groups events can’t take place anymore in real life. But what the organizers did is coming up with some online events.

Online events with Stuttgart Expats

• Currently they have two online Craft Beer tasting events scheduled.
• Many of the group members have been using the lockdown to focus on getting a German driving licence by taking part in the Stuttgart Expat Driving School program in English with theory classes online
• Other members have been using the time to learn German online.
