In Events in Stuttgart

What’s up this weekend – July 7 and 8 in Stuttgart?

Event on July 7 and 8 in Stuttgart

In this brief overview I present my favorite events and things to do for non-German speakers on July 7 and 8 in Stuttgart.

  • Visit the fun Afrika-Festival on July 7 and 8 and enjoy the colorful program! Concerts, food stands, workshops and more await you.
  • On July 7 the fun flea market event Hofflohmärkte will take place in Stuttgart-Möhringen.
  • If you like music, art and food from Peru and Latin America, you should visit Living Traditions/Tradiciones Vivas at Bürgerzentrum West on July 7.
  • Run for a good cause or sponsor one of the participants on July 7 at 24 Hours Run for the Rights of Children at Waldau.
  • University Hohenheim celebrates Night of the Open Door on July 7. Start into the night with an open air concert, visit nocturnal blooming plants afterwards and end the night by enjoying “Light Art” in front of the beautiful castle.
  • B 14, the main street that leads through Stuttgart, will be closed for traffic on July 8 because a very special demonstration will take place: the initiative Aufbruch Stuttgart invites everybody to a Sit-in on B 14 to create an Urban Living Room. All you need to bring is a chair (but you can also rent one at site). The sit-in starts at 10 am.
  • Stuttgart is famous for its John Cranko Ballett School. Enjoy the annual School Performance on July 8 at 11 pm for free in the Opera House.
  • If you like American Football you might want to watch the Stuttgart Silver Arrows play against Ostalb Highlanders at Festwiese in Bad Cannstatt or Stuttgart Scorpions vs Kirchdorf Wildcats at Gazi-Stadion, Waldau, on July 8
  • As the weather is supposed to be beautiful on July 7 and 8 in Stuttgart, how about spending some time outdoors? For inspiration visit Hikes and Excursions on Living in Stuttgart!
