Living in… Palma de Mallorca II

Palma in the nighttime is spectacular. First of all, the temperature is just right for having a nice walk. About 16º, clear sky and a very great atmosphere all over.

First stop in one of the oldest bakeries in town where you can get the typical Mallorca cake called “Ensaimada”. The bakery is called “Oven Theatre” because it´s just next door from our theater.

Beautiful antique shabby furniture inside, and all day long fresh Mallorca bread, meat and vegetables pies , cakes and of course “Ensaimadas”.

Just opposite we can see one of the most beautiful buildings in town converted in to a bookshop which is a coffee shop at the same time.

Stairs, stairs and more stairs which takes you just right down to the Borne passing little shops and Restaurants.

It takes you to this lovely square where the promenade from Borne starts.

Here it is, Bar Bosch, where you can enjoy as well in the wintertime a hot chocolate with churros:

That’s the way to go to the townhall and the Cathedral, different Christmas decoration in all the streets.

Our old town hall, I couldn’t take any picture inside, but every year they have a big Christmas decoration inside.

Time to go home now, my dog Sasha is very tired from the long walk .

After telling you about a few nice spots in Palma, now at last I want to introduce myself.

I am Tania, Mel’s cousin. I have studied design and haute couture in Palma and Barcelona.

At the moment I have my one atelier in my flat located in the old town in Palma. After many years very hard work I can just say now, I am where I want to be!

This picture is from my last stand in the wedding shows, because I make a lot of wedding dresses.

Every year I have two big fashion shows in Palma, and sometimes I have to borrow the dresses I sold seasons before, because the people just like to see them again.

I have been very lucky as well, because they choose my dresses for Miss Mallorca when she went to the Miss Spain shows.

Anybody recognize this girl? Estefania Kuestner wearing one of my typical Tania dresses with the back out.

And here we have my little Sasha modeling with Miss Mallorca.

And now to the latest news: I’m just about to open my own shop! So exciting!!

I will have dresses there to show to the customers, because this helps the girls to choose their own favorite.

But if somebody wants a special design, or one of my dresses in a different fabric or just what they have seen in a magazine, just let me know, I can make it for you.

This last picture is from my summer fashion show with this beautiful hand braided wedding dress.
